二、需要掌握的一些短语，供参考。

1. name   v.  叫做；称作

例如：  I know a girl named Nina.  我认识一个叫尼娜的女孩。

2. too…to   太……而不能……

   Now she’s too pig to sleep in the house.   现在她太大了而不能睡再房子里面了。

The box is heavy for me to carry.   这个箱子对我来说太沉了，以至于我抬不动。

He is too old to see that tree clearly.   他太老了以至于不能清晰地看到那棵树。

这一句型可用so…that…代替，而that后的从句多用否定句。上面的句子可换成：
