(1)在教学中的地位和作用
本课是第十一单元的第一课时,学习表示人物的单词boy 和 girl 和表示状态的单词long, short; tall, short; big, small; thin, fat. 通过本课的学习,学生能初步掌握简单的自我介绍方法,用至少六句话来简单介绍自己的情况。

Step 1: warm up

2 T: Let’s sing the song : Hi, Nancy
Step 2: Presentation
1 T: Show pictures of some fruits: What are these? What can you see?
Ss: They are… I can see some…
T: Yes, they are some.. Look at these… This one is big and that one is small.
Ss: Make up phrases: a big… a small..
T: Let’s say the rhyme: They are all very good.
2 T: Show pictures of some animals: What are these?
Ss: They are…

Ss: make up phrases, say chant like the rhyme.
